Once we signed Delhomme is was obvious to me that Quinn was going to be traded. I'm going to brag just for a quick second because I told all my friends it would be to Denver. In return we got Peyton Hillis, a 6th rounder in the '11 draft and a conditional pick in the '12 draft. I was hoping we could get more for Quinn but if I'm on Denver's side I wouldn't have offered much more. Peyton Hillis is still a good pickup for us because he will be a really good short yardage guy behind Harrison and hopefully James Davis can have the season we wanted him to have last year before the injury.

Hopefully since the offseason workouts start Monday we will hear some of the players reactions.

Peyton Hillis should get some touches behind Vickers. If we find out early against some teams, that it's working,he could get alot more. Not to mention how good he'll protect "Ole Man" Jake. He's young,so I like it.Like drafting Gerhart.I'm good with that. It's cool we pushed for the extra late picks.
Did ya notice Wimbley was dealt, too? He went to the Raiders for undisclosed draft picks.Hopefully, one is this year, and a second/third rounder.Think I'm guessing to high?As long as I'm guessing.....:)

I understand Denver runs an offense that BQ can relate to,but with that thin air,he's gonna need another year or two, just to get used to that. With his innacuracy, already,I doubt he'll amount to much there. As if he would anywhere...He shoulda showed up to camp in "07".Boy,did that bite him back.

Is Sunday special to Holgrem,as far as deals are concerned?I wonder what his stats are, there.

I've been trying like crazy to find out what we got for Wimbley. I'm really hoping we got some earlier picks.

LOL!!! This is the first time in a few years where I feel we have gotten worse in the off season. How in the hell can we trade an unproven young qb for a fb that's better backup the one of the top three fullbacks in vickers. Hillis can't pass block!!! "Thunder" Davis and Jennings are good "compliment backs to Harrison. I feel the next earth, wind and fire like the g-men had two years ago.
Fajida (or how ever you spell his name) is an average lb at best. If he was any good he wouldnt be on his third or fourth team in his short career. Clevelandbrowns.com voters love that pickup. Why? Please someone convince me cause I'm so up set.
We got a rt who is a career backup I've never heard of. I'm reading he's coming into his own and "might" be good, realbrownsfan could start and it would be an up grade. Joking bro, I respect your opinion.
We trade wimbley for a third rounder to a team known for getting ripped off in trades and making bone head moves. I'll mss you wimbley!!!!!! Kill them all!!! Hit the tight end so hard his girlfriend dies!!!
Ben Watson is the only move I agree on.
My draft perdiction... We trade the 7th pick to the saints for their first and 6th rounder and we draft a right guard.
It looks like we are pulling a "cavs". Dump he season for the first pick. Let's go Pryor!!!
Last Wallace better start over jd. He should of started the past two seasons in Seattle.
Good luck to Quinn and wimbley!!! Go browns forever!!!

Scott Fujita was a huge competitor and the captain for the Super Bowl winning Saints. Most people would call that an upgrade over Jason Trusnik and Kaluka Maivia. Tony Pashos was a starter for the Baltimore Ravens for multiple years and was a starter in San Fran before he got hurt. I'm not saying these 3 players (along with Watson) are going to take us over the top but they are upgrades. The only think I kind of have a problem with is the Wimley trade. I think Wimbley is overrated but was worth more then a 3rd rounder that didnt even belong to Oakland. But I'm going to wait until after the draft to decide if I like the trade or not. It's all about this draft this year guys.

Slow down a minute,1-eye....Were you expecting some team to come forward and offer more than what the Broncos did? BQ sealed his fate when he sat out training camp whining about how he deserved top 5 money. He held a clipboard too long, and lost his edge.I have alot of games taped, and,as much as I wanted BQ to be the Savior of the Browns, the guy wasn't getting it done. You can argue that he wasn't given a fair chance, but I am starting to understand what Holgrem meant when he said that in the past,he wished he wouldn't have waited so long. What he was talkng about was the Seahawks. He tried in vain to add pieces to the puzzle, but in the end, found it was best to "blow it up",and build from the ground up.Guess what? I think he's absolutely right.
So far,the picks he has made all have potential to be good.None of us are there, meeting these guys...That RT is a big, smart guy. He's said to no longer be a starter, but I haven't heard Holgrem say he would be.Only that he'd add depth. He's 29,and coming off left shoulder surgery, but he'll have 9 months of rest before training camp, plenty of time to heal. He'll compete for a starting position, either RG,or RT.You can count on the Browns to draft a couple OLs...That FB you're talking about isn't gonna be a FB with us.He's gonna be our version of Toby Gerhart.Or Mike Alstott. He's gonna get ops behind vickers.I think that could be very beneficial. And he's 250 lbs.,and 24 years old.Big enough to take on blitzing ILBs.Young enough to get better.Fujita isn't a top tier SLB in a 4-3.He's a hard-nose,smart guy, though, and his responsiblities will be easier, with him playing inside,in our 3-4.I think D'Qwell has a better than 50-50 shot of not being around next year,so Fujita will be his replacement.
We all know Watson is an upgrade.
   Now for Kamerion Wimbley.
The guy was a great  edge rusher in 4-3 D,that never "got it" in our 3-4.He looked awful at times last year, getting pushed around. Now we'll have another chance,as Koa Misi is likely to be sitting there at 85,our pick we recieved for him from the Raiders. He also excelled in a 4-3 at Utah.
How many days until the draft? 145?  That's what it's gonna feel like.

See my thoughts there.

Fujita is a locker room/stop gap signing.

Delhomme is a veteran presence who is no better than Quinn/DA.

We won't miss Williams.

Wimbley is weak and never developed a 2nd move, which killed him and made him a one hit wonder.

Etc.
