Gilyard's stock went down, IMO. He just doesn't seem to get open like he showed against the mediocre defenses Cincy played. He seems very quick, but he looked slower in the Senior Bowl, and in practices. I think he's going to slip to the middle or bottom of the 2nd. My next rankings will reflect that.

Gilyard had 5 rec for 103 yds and 1 TD, how was he not getting open? If he was purely getting open cause of speed he would have to run in the 4.2-4.3 range, cbssports.com has him listed at running a 4.51. I really don't understand that hate on Gilyard.

Other than his 43 yard TD, he was unimpressive. He had a catch on Trevard Lindley who just had terrible coverage and didn't even look back for the ball, and he had a grab on the ground.

He wasn't open, he just adjusted to the ball nicely. His route running isn't impressive, and he's all speed, despite looking slower in that game (except for his double move on Arenas, which Arenas was getting burned on all week in practice).

He looked better in the game than in practice, but he just gets lazy on his routes and rounds them off, while also not running every one 100%. He could be a nice spread receiver because he can stretch the field, but watching him practice this week really made me re-consider having him so high.

If you want to get a receiver, you should take a look at Jeremy Williams. He's a good size target who runs VERY crisp routes, and can turn up the field and go.

I've seen on a couple rankings, recently, where Bulaga is ranked 4th and 5th best tackle.I hope the teams needing tackles think so,too.Of course, with like 250 mocks out there now, there's some very different opinions.
As for Welch,he's 6'6",and 312lbs.He's got 2 kick returns for 8 yds.,so Cribbs need not worry. He was a replacement player in the Senior Bowl. And he's a projected late rounder.
I would hope we go no lower than say,Kyle Calloway(Iowa). He's the same size as Welch, but I've seen him,and he's a solid starter.I doubt Welch is. I like that guy from Utah, too.Zane"the Brain" Beadles.

Jeremy Williams looks good.I'd want him over Gilyard. How about Riley Cooper(Florida)?

I think Williams looks good along with Jacoby Ford (Clemson) and Andre Roberts (Citadel), but I still maintain a Gilyard fan.

Riley Cooper could sneak into the 2nd round, as well.

This is the year to get a WR. There are a ton of them, IMO. Same with Tight Ends, and offensive tackles.

Coincidently enough, those are all positions of need. :D

This is a quote from Mike Holmgren:

"I would say our point of emphasis in the off-season is strengthening the offensive team. Within that, we're looking hard at the quarterback."

Maybe this means Dez Bryant will be the pick. I hope not, as bad as our offense was the defensive talent was is much better in this draft. Atleast dedicate the 1st round pick to defense. Let's trade Rogers already! We need the extra pick

I saw a local sports guy complaining about fans wanting to trade Rogers. He said that the Browns need to put Rogers next to Rubin,on the end.I thought they were going to try that last year, but very seldom were the two on the field together. Why be in a hurry to trade Rogers?I'm for it,too, but they need to get as much as they can for him,and that likely won't come until draft day,or close to it.I doubt they've been offered a 1st and a 3rd for him, yet. That's what I've heard they likely want.Aim high.
I've read columnists saying we could be getting Jake Delhomme,Kerry Collins,or some other aging QB for this year, then draft a QB to bring along.I'm not happy with that.We need someone who still has some gas in the tank.If we don't pick up a QB in free agency,it could mean Bradford/Claussen is in their sites. It doesn't sound like a stretch,to me.If one is on the board,we take him.If not,we go after a FA.
Picking either of them instantly gets rid of any QB controversy, and gets the offense moving forward.
I think Holgrem is anxious to get a franchise QB in here, now.

As for Tony Pike being like DA,I agree with the "slinger" part, but no way is Pike like DA,when it comes to touch passes. If we had Pike in 2007,we might have won the Super Bowl! Pike is much more fluid is his movements, and already has better accuracy than DA,who way too often puts the ball behind the reciever.I guess that makes Pike my "Gilyard":)

Rubin and Rogers might play well next to each other but even if they did it only be for 2 years. I love Rogers and if we were a contender no way would I say trade him, but thats not the case.

I'm fine with getting Pennington but I do not want to watch Kerry Collins, but maybe Delhomme for one year. I dont think the starter of the future is on the roster right now or in the draft, unless Holmgren likes Lefevour and mentors him for a year or two. My best case scenerio would still be to get Kevin Kolb without giving up much.

And yeah I guess so, we all have our favorites.
