It appears the collective bargaining agreement will go into spring of next year.

There is no budge in either side.

The players union(E.Smith)wants to keep the same deal, for another six years, and they want the owners to open their books.

The owners want a larger chunk of the pie, saying they've lost revenue due them because of the recession. The players currently enjoy a 60-40 cut.The owners want to get back to 50-50,until the League can build back up it's infrastructure.

Bottom line; We can expect free agency to only go to players with six yrs. or more in the League, and the teams will be "uncapped".That will likely only be for the one season,so teams aren't expected to go wild, but rather tighten their ships,so as to not look like they could afford more.Collusion?

Also, playoff teams can't pick up a FA,unless they lose one.

So,if you're thinkin about being a "replacement player",time to start working out.I'm practicing my long snaps.

They better get the cap back after next year if the NFL turns into what the MLB has become I will lose all hope in humanity.

Lol i hope the players dont strike but if they do I hope our team consist of buckeye players that just missed an NFL roster, thatd be interesting.

If they don't start making some progress, we will be seeing nothing but College Football next season.

The union is throwing their fourth and fifth year guys under the bus.Their not going to get anything more by waiting another year. But I don't expect them to be that smart. They'll sit around posturing until the eleventh hour, and finally come through, saving all of our livelyhoods.Yuck!I won't watch that.

I think they'll agree with something like 7yrs,the first four 55-45,then the last three,62-38.
That way most owners won't have to raise prices, and can still keep up with their teams, until 2014,when their TV contracts expire, and they start making us pay to watch them on the NFL Channel.

That would have been a good line in Lennons classic...not.

I'll try an Git R Dun.

"Imagine a world where greedy wasn't a characteristic,
  It isn't hard to do.
 No more starving little pygmies,
And no "Pay for View" NFL,too.

  How about,

You say you want a revolution,
 well,you know,our fore-fathers would've,too.
You tell me it's a good solution,
well, you know, that's all there's left to do (yeah)
Cause when you talk about corruption,
Don't you see it's just Capitalism?

Since Noah's grandson Nimrod(Born Dec.25th) came up with the idea of organized competition, and man ruled government based on a profit making economic system, humanity has been stumbling in darkness.
Check this out.If we came from a pre-mordial stew, like maggots arising from garbage,or mice from rags, why doesn't anyone duplicate the process?I'm sure, with all the geniuses walking around,we can replicate our planets make-up,when this supposedly happened.
I just hope we can hold the fort down long enough 'til help arrives.I like to think there's more to us.Someone once said,"To conquer death, you only have to die".So I'm optimistic that it gets better.
We're in a slice of time, since the collision of two 3 dimensional "brains",that occurred in the big bang.
The alpha,the omega.The fourth dimension.The Creation.The Creators.

Yeah,I just said that.I must be having flashbacks.

And ...Go Browns!!!
