I don't disagree with a lot of these but question, is this a list of talent wise top-100 or a list of how the browns top-100 board should look like?

If its the browns board my top 10 would look a little different:
1. Ndamukong Suh
2. Eric Berry
3. Rolando McClain
4. Joe Haden
5. Gerald McCoy
6. Russel Okung
7. Jimmy Clausen
8. Trent Williams
9. Dez Bryant
10. Brian Price

I also disagree with how high Carlos Dunlap is

This is overall for the NFL draft for all teams. Not just the Browns.

Just wondering, why do have Bradford so low? Most boards I've seen have him going early, like fifth.

If your answer is this is a list of overall talent, then I wouldn't have either in the top 20.

I don't think either will participate in the combines,so it's going to come down to private workouts, but if both come back fully,as is expected,it will be tough to pick between the two.I'd pick Bradford,if I had to choose, today.

For the Browns,I'd go:

1-Suh(perman)(patent pending)
2-McCoy
3-Berry
4-Okung
5-McClain
6-Haden
(I'd try to trade down a bit, from here, and still try to get one of them, with an extra pick :)
7-Baluga
8-Bryant
9-Morgan
10-T.Williams

I think McCoy had a great college career and is a very good talent but I'd feel very unsafe if we drafted him. I'll tell you why. When we re-started this franchise in 1999 in our first 3 years as a team we drafted 2 D-linemen, Courtney Brown and Gerard Warren neither played to their potential or are still on the team. Last year before our 4 game winning streak our stats were just as bad or the same as when we came back into the league, I think it's time we learn from our mistakes. If McCoy falls to us I would take, Berry, McClain, Haden and Bryant over him.

I like McCoy over the rest for the same reasons I like Suh.These two guys are stud defensive lineman who can not only protect against the run, where our defense has to get better, but they can push back the pocket, and make the QB get rid of the ball,or get sacked.IMO,the lines are the most important part of the team.(BE just scored a TD!And he's NOT gonna be a FA,and Mangini dumped him.Sanchez play faked, and hit him in stride!Yuck! What if we would have just taken Sanchez, and Britton to block for him?)
Look at BE.He's no longer with us,and we got him at 3.Bryant can end up doing that.Courtney Brown was a bust, and Warren didn't fair much better, but that doesn't give me reason to stop trying.
Every pick is a gamble. We have holes all over. Our secondary is sad,but our D-line is getting old,and we don't have any stud linebackers. So we might as well go for the best talent available.Even if it's not an exciting pick.
This is all blah blah anyway, because both Suh and McCoy will be gone when we pick. And Berry.I'd say it's 95% those three are gone.

I think McCoy is at the same level Warren and Brown were, obviously they were all amazing players in college and McCoy could be different but I'm just not willing to take that chance when we need so much else, as old as the d-line is they were the best part of the defense. And the reason I brought it up is because I think McCoy could fall to us. Some mocks have St. Louis taking Suh and then Detroit taking McCoy. Personally if I'm Detriot I would take Okung but for whatever reason they seem to like their LT. If they dont smarten up and take him I think they should take Berry. Berry has more talent and Detriot has the worst secondary I've ever seen. The only other team before us that I could see taking McCoy would be Tampa and maybe Seattle, but if they dont take him I'd still not want us to.

I understand your opinion.

I'm thinking more long term.I'm thinking we're two-three good drafts from being real contenders. So I'm for taking the best player available,at the time, and hope he doesn't bust. So,while I see your point,I think the odds are better if we stick to going with the best player available.
As for Bryant,I don't want him first, unless we get a reliable QB and full time RT,too.Otherwise,he'll likely have a poor start, which could snowball.

Agreed about Bryant, the only way I would take him first is if we end up getting McNabb. And MAYBE if we get another 1st round choice

Ok.I watched the NCAA all-stars perform yesterday, and Zak Robinson had the longest throw, the most accurate arm,and looked pretty darn good, going up against Lefeavor,Snead, and Canfield.I think that, along with his Senior bowl performance, should get him on the board,at least.
Then there's Jordan Shipley, who I thought was the best of the best, yesterday. He was competing against Bryant,Gilyard and D.Williams, all of whom have been projected to go higher than him. From what I watched yesterday,he looked better than any of them.Best hands, very fast, smart, alert.
Let's hope he,or someone of his caliber,is there for our third pick.He would make an excellent slot reciever. Our go to guy on third down.Colt McCoy loved him.

I wouldn't mind getting Shipley in the middle rounds at all, I think he'd be a good reliable player in the slot but IMO Gilyard has more of an upside.

Right now this is how I rate the top 10 QBs in this draft

1. Jimmy Clausen
2. Sam Bradford
3. Dan Lefevour
4. Zac Robinson
5. Tony Pike
6. Colt McCoy
7. Jarret Brown
8. Sean Canfield
9. Tim Tebow
10. Max Hall

IMO I think this is accurate. I don't really know where to put Snead, he was supposed to be in the top 3 but had a terrible season and every time I watched him he hardly looked average. And yes Tim Tebow in 9th on that list.

John Skelton also probably deserves to be on there

After watching that show,I'd say Shipley was the best WR out there, and only Bryant would still get my pick, over him.All 3 guys are ranked higher. And he outperformed them all.Bryant is a little rusty.

  For QBs,my list would go:

1)Bradford-He was on ESPN last week, and says he's firing 50 balls consecutively,on a rope for 30 yards. His shoulder is getting stronger than ever.So he's the most NFL ready QB in the NCAA.
2)Claussen
3)Robinson-He was the best QB in the All-Star Challenge. It's on ESPN again Sunday at 3 or 4.Check out his toss to the net to start his last round. He also ran more fluidly, and looked more coordinated than the other three. And won the long toss.
4)LeFevour
5)Canfield
6)Pike-He was supposed to compete. Was all signed up.No word why he didn't make it.I missed the beginning.Maybe they said why.
7)McCoy
8)Tebow
9)Skelton
10)Snead

 A little help,here.
I was checking out Jarret Brown, not long ago,and the article showed he had a 135+ QB rating for the season.I was impressed. So,I looked at his game stats, and saw that his rating for the East Carolina game in week 2 showed he had over a 204!!! In Pros,I know it only goes to 158.3.What's up with that?

I'm not sure about the QB rating but I set the all-star challenge to tape, thanks for the recommendation.

Jimmy Claussen has pulled out of the combines, due to a toe injury.

Sam Bradford is already out,but will hold private workout(s) in late March.

CJ spiller is supposedly gonna climb at the combines(4.3s in the 40),and the Browns were mentioned as a team that would go after either him,or Berry. If not CJ,Jonathan Dwyer in the second.Myself,I think we're pretty set at RB.We have much greater needs in the draft.

all pro - member

The people who call us a team that could possibly reach for him have no idea what they're talking about. They didn't have a conversation with Holmgren where he said were looking into Spiller. They just look at the Browns roster and think hey they need a rb they must want spiller! I watched a Holmgren interview were he complimented Harrison for about 5 mins. Although I could still see us getting a bigger back in Dixon or Ryan Mathews in round 3.

It was a guy on the NFL network.I can't remember the guys name, but he didn't mention any of the 3 current backs(Davis,Harrison,Jennings) when he talked about us.He did say that we'd need to upgrade,if we plan on running like we did in the cold, against the weaker teams at the end of last season,or if we go to a "one back" West Coast style.I thought the guy was wacko, too. But it was interesting.I guess he was reaching,to get CJ into the top ten.The question was, will CJ be able to crack the top ten?

I'm all for Gerhart, who probably stands a better chance of being around for our second third round pick.

This is another reason why I want to know if were running the WCO or not. If we are then I'd say lets use the draft picks on all our other needs but if were sticking with the Mangini offense we need a bigger back, even though Davis and Jennings could compete for the #2 spot backing up Harrison.

Do you think the Browns should just give Harrison a low offer,as he is restricted, and see if anyone has the cahonays to give him an offer? That's what I'd do.
We could then either get CJ,or if he's gone, get another "need guy"(maybe Bulaga),then go for Best in the second.
   It's a win-win.
Either we get compensated(first round pick),or we keep him for a realistic offer.I'll bet he's hoping on a high bid from somewhere else.I am ,too. Like from Seattle.
