Right now, I just did a list of my top 60. It's very premature, and many won't agree with some of my rankings.

I'm going to go through and give brief descriptions about all the players, and edit this over the course of the off-season.

I'm sure there will be A LOT of editing, but again, this is very early, and I just wanted to get some names out there for people to see.

Looks well thought out.You musta taken alot of time and effort.Bravo.

I would have some of "my" guys up there.

Like where's Tony Pike?Or that RB from Miss State you were praising,Anthony Dixon?

Where would you put Kurt Coleman?I'd be happy to see him in a Browns uniform.

One more thing.Although Mays has been dropping along with his team,I don't see him going twenty spots lower than Berry.I'd bet a round that Mays is picked inside of twenty after Berry.Because Mays still has all that upside.

Go Browns!!!

I don't think Pike is that great, personally. Not to mention, I don't like taking QB's that do nothing but play from the shotgun, and his mechanics aren't what you'd expect out of a 1st-2nd round guy.

I do love Anthony Dixon, and think he could be a 2nd round talent, but look at all of these guys on this list? I mean, because of many underclassmen most likely coming out thanks to an unknown CBA solution, we've got guys that will be 2nd rounders that would easily be firsts in many other drafts.

Kurt Coleman would be one of the next safeties off the board after 60. I like him a lot, but he's only been truly dominant as a safety in this season, and I also thinks that (like Mays), he benefits a lot from a great front 7.

As for Mays, we've had this discussion, and a team most likely will take a chance on him before 20. He does have a lot of upside. However, because of his inexperience playing different schemes as a safety, he's still a big ? and he'd be best off going to a playoff team that has an established front 7, so that he can excel. As we've seen this year, he's been very well off of what was expected of him after he apparently made so many great plays the previous two seasons. Mays has been invisible, like the rest of the defense, and has proven just how much he relied on that elite front 7 he had in USC.

Check this out.

Mays has 88 tackles. Berry 83.

Berry 2 ints.  Mays has 1.

Yet Mays has been invisible, while Berry is Top 3?

You think the front seven is what made Mays?

Who has the better supporting cast now?

I want Coleman, anyway,if things fall the way I think they will.Let's hope he's around for us.I would rather have Suh or McLain, with our top pick.Berry might be just having a down year, playmaking wise,or he's being avoided, like Mays appears to be,but our needs are to great at stopping the run.If Mays is around at our second round pick,we have to take him.Otherwise,it's Coleman in the third.I hope.

Go Browns!!!

I think we can forget about Berry and Mays. After the Texas game we would be insane not to take Suh with the first pick, he's incredible. Berry will be gone at least by the 15th pick (IMO) and i highly doubt Mays will make it past the 32nd pick but if he does I would take him with the 2nd round pick but I doubt that will happen. As much as i LOVE the way Colemen has played for the buckeyes I don't know if i would take him in the 3rd round for this team. The first 3 rounds are so important for us this year. I think we need to go Suh in the first round. So in the 2nd and 3rd round we have to get at least 1 offensive playmaker (WR, TE, RB) and a linebacker. As long as we can get those positions first then I would take Colemen with the 2nd pick in the 3rd, but I'd perfer to get him in the 4th if possible.

I don't think Suh will be around, unless we get that first,or maybe second pick.Who goes first if we tie the Rams and Bucs?Is it a coin toss?I think they might go by the winning percentage of the teams each team played.Easiest schedule, with least wins.

If we can get Suh,great. Can you imagine him next to Rogers, taking up most of the offensive line?Sack city!Otherwise,I'd take McLain.McClain is too good to pass up.There won't be a guy close to as good as him in even the second round.Either way,I'd want to go 4-3 next year.

How about we get Troy "gorgeous hair" Palomalu?(Tell me you don't like him more, after seeing those)Then we can focus on the offense, after the first pick.

This is all just speculation,of cousre, until we know where we're picking, and what free agents we can sign before the draft.

Go Browns!!!

Wouldn't want to have to lock a quality topic.

Keep the discussion to the rankings, not each other please.

Hm well I've been thinking...I know everyone talks about trading down but i think this year trading up could be an option. It looks like this year the first pick of the draft will go to either St. Louis or Tampa Bay. Assuming its St. Louis they are going to want to draft a QB, but probably wont think Jimmy Clausen is worth taking that high. It's just an idea and I'm not sure i would pull the plug on it quit yet but what if we swapped picks with St. Louis and gave them one of our later round picks that we have multiple of and we pick Suh before Tampa Bay has a chance.

I didn't see Freddy Barnes (WR - Bowling Green) on the list but I hope he is in the Browns top 10 and that we can snag him in the 3rd round.   To me he could be Paul Warfield II.   He gets open and catches the ball.......something Cleveland receivers seem to struggle with.   As with most drafts there are ALOT of player to like but hard to create real good browns list with out a real feel for where the team is headed.   Inspite of our needs, I might focus on the offense with:

Russell Okung - likely gone by #7 pick
Mike Iupati - mauler but likely not available in 2nd round.....#7 too high for him....maybe trade down
Freddy Barnes = Paul Warfield II
? Woolridge (Idaho) - Maurice Jones-Drew type back.....short, stout, strong and fast enough.
Toby Gerhart - Not sure if he's a great fit for the browns but I like him......tough runner.
Riley Walker (WR, FL) - Tall, good hands and reasonable speed.......Tebow's roomate.

Yes, our defense could use alot of help and I won't cry if we select Eric Berry or some other Defensive presence.   Trading down and taking Iupati and then Barnes and Gerhart in the 2nd round would make be happy..............if Homgren plans on an offense that uses their skills.

Oh yeah,....did you see Patrick Robinson catch Noel Devine in the FSU vs WVa Game?   That dude is VERY FAST.
