Mangini must go
I would now like to recant my backing Mangini.I have had his BS up to here(over my head).
I went into the season hopeful, and thought no coach could rebuild this team in one year. But who predicted that we would fall like a rock to the basement of the League, and not even play our rookies?...FYI,Tony Grossi said last night on Red Zone that Robos not playing could have something to do with the rookie complaining about the bus trip to Conneticut that Mangini called for.And the fallout started there.True or not, there is such a multitude of deficiencies in this guy, that it's a wonder he's allowed anywhere near a football field. If only we could make him go coach football in Siberia.Lerner CANNOT afford another bum like him.I would love to see a group of season ticket holders come together, and show that Mangini was so awful, that the remainder of his salary be used to pay them all back, and the rest go to kids who couldn't afford to see an NFL game live, next year.Make Rob Ryan the interim coach. It sickens me that Coaches get guaranteed contracts, while players mostly aren't.He is a failure as the Coach of this team. It's not like he's coaching well, and the team just isn't trying.Week after week he just doesn't get it.I want to get this guy in the cage!No mercy,no choke out.3 five minute rounds of full mount bludgeoning! He ruined my team. But I digress.Just can his sorry arse, already.
Go Browns!!!
In Robos case Mangini needs to put the team first. Mangini thinks he needs to show hes in charge at all costs. He has players in his doghouse and doesn't play them while they're there. Im speculating that Mangini just wants the players to come to him and talk and until they do that they will remain in the doghouse. Harrison was getting no playing time and when he said something to the media he became inactive. After that Harrison went to Mangini and had a talk and then the next game (last week against the bengals) he gets playing time...Mangini needs to stop being stubborn and realize hes the coach and its his job to reach out especially in the case of the rookies. It is in the teams best interest to have Robiskie playing.
I hate Mangini. I want him gone, I think its a good idea to give Ryan a couple weeks and see what he can do. All the players like him and love playing for him and he has the passion.
Who would we go after to fill his position? Cowher? Who else is on the "Coaches that want a job in 2010" list? I see where you are coming from, RBF and it DOES seem kind of asinine that we have rooks not getting in. I, as you have stated, was hung on the fact that it WILL take more than a year to fix our mess, and the practice thing...you have to get used to practicing hard AND playing hard before you can have results and I am not sure it is time to write Mangini off yet. if we can pick up this "top football mind" which hasn't gotten much air lately then we might have a good chance at building in an 11-pick draft (come-on EDWARDS catch the blasted football) poss. 3 picks in day 1 not too bad. I do not like the fact that he didn't get the Jets to the playoffs but once in his tenure, but I do think that if he is smart enough to get us 11 picks in a draft with the players we had, then he might be ok. PLAY ROBISKE!!!! sorry, turrets syndrome. If Robo doesn't get enough playing time this season, he might go through the Browns rookie plague of dropsy next year (does any other team have rooks that can NOT catch passes but for 2 games in their 1st season???) i hear that all good receivers have that one season where they are just crap and hopefully this one is it for MO but how come we pay so many professional football players to NOT do their job?!?!?!?!?!?!?! receivers can't catch, DB's can't tackle DL(D-line) can't stop the run... AND THE QUARTERBACK IS THE #2 RECEIVER AND RUSHER FOR THE GAME HEINOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just want to get a vp/gm or whatever like Holmgren or Parcells or someone like that and he can pick whatever coach he wants. Its good Mangini got all those picks but he showed last year he clearly wont know what to do with them. And they wont play when he picks them. Or maybe he'll just trade them away for more backup jets.
If the Browns should win against the Squealer puddlians,I still want Mangini to take a hike. The guys head is clearly stuck in his nether region. His stench precedes himself. He's like Winnie the pooh, all cuddly and round, but with Eyores persona. I wouldn't want Winnie/Eyore coaching the Browns either,Over, and out!
Go Browns!!!
