Does anyone else watch this show?
They were very down on the team, which is very understandable.
They attacked Mangini, for wanting low key "team" guys, instead of big headed "me" guys. They attacked him for trading BE.(Tony Grossi said that BE was a RFA next year, and the Jets will retain him.Isn't that wrong?I could've sworn this is his fifth year, making him a FA next year.)They attacked him for hiring Kokinis. They attacked his draft, especially Robo(too slow, that's why I didn't want him that pick,I wanted RT Eben Britton),and Veikune.Doug Dieken said the team would have been alot better off with someone else in here, and had a much different season. They attacked Lerner, for being so infatuated with Mangini,as to only have one interview, and cancelled interviews, when he should have taken more time. They had a chuckle about the eleven ex-Jets we now have.
The upside; They think Lerner has learned his lesson, and will do his best to bring the best he can get,to get back on track.Like the "Football Genius" that Jim Brown referred to at the luncheon.
Tony grossi talked to Jon Gruden after the game, and he said that he had no contingency clause in his new ESPN contract. He said Jon is signed for two years with them, and will not be coaching.
He also said that he believes that Holgrem also has other plans, with another team. But he also said that Holgrem has said that he'll wait until after the season to make any decision.

After reading zaklcos post, and seeing that until there is a new agreement, that BE is in fact a RFA next year,I'm unhappier about the deal, and the fact that Mangini did it.If the new deal is a sure thing,OK.If it doesn't happen,Mangini looks worse than ever.I'm sorry to say it,but time for another Head Coach.I hope they're getting a head start.

Just FYI, that RFA rule also applies in the cases of D'qwell Jackson, Jerome Harrison, and Lawrence Vickers IDB

Zaklco, are all those guys RFA at the end of the season?  For some reason, Harrison seems to have fallen from grace, as he (i don't think) got no carries VS. Ravens.  Do you think ANYONE will want to play in Cleveland after this season?  i mean i know it is just a paycheck for some of these guys, but we NEED playmakers...if a dude gets offers from CLE and another team that ACTUALLY consistently scored TD this season, who do you think they'd pick to play at?  Unless, of course we can find a Bernie Kosar story, whereas the best player in the world grew up in CLE AND wants to play ONLY HERE.  (see also LeBron James).  I sincerely apologize, I had TONS of hope for my boys (Browns) coming off the bye, and now I am down like the Hindenberg.  PLEASE TELL ME WE CAN WIN SUNDAY VS the Lions!!!!!!!!  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!  But, realistically, can we?

All of those guys are Restricted Free Agents assuming no new Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached, which seems unlikely.

As far as bringing in FA, we may have to overpay to get some guys in here, so luckily we have the second highest amount of cap space.  Also keep in mind having 11 draft picks to possibly contribute, assuming they draft players with talent, instead of just heart.  Possibly sure up the Oline through FA and draft a RB (2nd round?) or TE (3rd from Braylon?)

Sounds good, they ought to make you, or the fans in general the GM.  one thing i have noticed is that we, as fans, always know what to do.  and it seems like the coach or GM or Owner NEVER DOES.  Maybe there is another Joe Thomas out there we could pick up-I am REALLY glad we drafted him 3rd in '07-in the draft or an Alex Mack he seems to be doing well, i never hear his name but he's a C, somehow, we MUST get these Receivers catching the football.  HECK, I can catch a football (almost) every time it is thrown to me, but i am too old and banged up to go into the NFL (but i'd do it for my Browns)well, i guess i'm not THAT old, but quite banged up (but i'd still do it!!)
