BQ, Part 2
I would really like to see BQ,and the rest of the team, come out and repeat last years MNF performance.
They so badly need that kind of a lift.
The Ravens aren't that good, but they are a desperate team, looking to stay in the playoff hunt.Hopefully, their desperation will lead to mistakes.
Add to that,we had a bye week,a chance for the offense to prepare for a team we've already seen once, and should be able to adapt to from film, and we can pull this off.
We've also had two weeks for our D to prepare for the loss of our starting ILBs,which I think will play nearly as well as the starters.I don't think they'll lose the game for us.
Let's hope Brian Daboll has put together a good stategy, with some new twists.
Myself,I was for waiting until next week,so as to preserve BQ.I'd hate to see him get hurt, with our blocking disability. So,if BQ just throws it away,I'm fine with that.No need to put his career on the line, when it just doesn't matter. If it gets ugly, and there's no time in the pocket, let DA/Ratliff take the hits.Bring BQ back for Detroit. That's what I'd do.
Go Browns!!!
Most likely, we won't.
There are no play makers on this offense. And until our QB gets play makers, we won't have good production.
I'm struggling to find even a little hope that will win this game. I'm sure our game plan will be more of the same run jamal up the middle for no gain and pass when its necessary and we wont be able to get more then 5 yds on the baltimore D.
I'd like to see us use Harrison more and throw more passes Robiskie's way but im sure it wont happen.
Anyone know the injury report?
Ya know,I just watched the SNF game, and those QBs(Manning/Brady) just continue to create playmakers, through their knowledge and ability. They can stick anyone in,and run the plays, and the recievers get open, and they put the ball where it can be caught. Now,I'm not saying Quinn should be at their level, but there should be some competence, and when given time, there should be open guys for him to deliver the ball to.
I read after the Broncos loss that BQ missed some wide open guys.I know, everyone does. But the good QBs find a way to find them enough to win.I fully EXPECT my Cleveland Browns to come out fully prepared to not only win,but to dominate the Ravens, much like they dominated the Giants a year ago. It's time to show the USA that the Browns aren't a bunch of clowns. It's time for BQ to TAKE CONTROL of his team!Show us why they were all wrong in not taking you in the top five in the draft.Show us that, given time, and an open reciever, you will find him and get him the ball, nearly every time.
If it's dropsies,or bad protection, fine.Forget it,and move on.If the OC isn't making good plays, get them changed.Good QBs know how to do this.I think BQ has it in him.He just needs someone to light a fire under his arse!!
Go Browns!!!
PS-If Brian Daboll doesn't have some surprises for the Ravens,if we go vanilla, with another plethora of 3 and outs,I want him escorted off the property Tuesday morning.Unless....Is Mangini behind this?If he's doing it,I'd love an explaination.
Everyone seems to forget that even though it was a horrible game, we DID make a bit of progress against the Bears. 4 Sacks, lone score was a TD (took advantage of a 12-yard punt via fear of Joshua Cribbs) soI expect to build on that. I can't stand the media anyways, so i tend to not listen to them in bringing up anything and everything they can find wrong about the Browns MY Browns. I am the first one to admit, you don't have to look hard, or dig far to find negativity, but remember 3 out of our 4 wins last year came on MONDAY. I am rooting HARD for my Browns tonight...Joe Thomas jersey AND my new sideline (authentic) hat. GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!
Our offense was so inept,as they have been for DA,that I'm not going to blame BQ,for it.Mostly.The guy needs some pocket awareness, though, and his accuracy was dismal Monday night.DA would have been crucified.BQ gets a "get out of jail free" card. But now he has used it,and it's time to start playing better.Everybody has us getting a new QB come April. He has his opportunity to save us that pick, for other needs.and become our starter, next year.Or is he just that bad?I'm counting on him to do much better, this week.
Harrison can't pass block.Don't try to force him.St. Clair needs help.BQ has to recognize when they're coming. And not be afraid to take off and run with the ball.Or it's gonna be a loooong December.
Go Browns!!!
Until Brady gets more than 2 seconds to throw, he's not going to produce either.
What people are failing to realize is that teams are regularly rushing 3-4 guys, leaving 7-8 defensive players to cover 3-4-5 WR's.
One, our WR's are terrible as it is. Two, they can't get open because of the coverage, and Quinn can't make the read because he gets 2 seconds to throw.
What people don't realize that teams are rushing 3-4 guys, and getting to the QB?
Can you please prove it? ![]()
I think that after failing to stop the pass rush, keeping guys in,the last time we faced the Ravens, the plan was to dink and dunk them, with short, quick routes. With a smattering of wildcat thrown in.So much for that.
I think in Detroit,he'll have some time.Heck,I don't believe he'll be benched, regardless, the remainder of the season. So,we should get to see enough to know if he's our guy for next season.Or not.At least let's hope for it.If he doesn't get hurt, first.
Everyone knows that BQ had no chance, and was given a free pass for that game.Nobody could have faired better. The announcers thought as much, but still criticized BQ for his lack of pocket awareness, and his lack of picking up/evading the blitzes/passrush,along with his innacuracy, the few times he did get a little time. How about all the tipped balls? Those last gasp throws that were way out of bounds were awful. Those could be percieved as hints he's not so good, but with all the turmoil around him,I can't be judgemental.
I guess BQ may as well get a free pass the rest of the year.He should get a shot at being the starter next year, with the rest of the offense as pathetic as it is.It would take one heck of a turnaround for the whole offense for him to earn the starter role before the season comes to an end.
Go Browns!!!
I think Steve Young said it best after the game, the offense looked terrible and it wasnt all Quinns fault but Brady has to do enough to look like he could be a good QB with a decent team around him and he didnt do that this game.
until we can get him time to throw AND receivers to CATCH (what a stinking concept) even Cool Joe Montana-i love Joe Montana- (or even Steve Young) or (name ANY great QB) would be able to make impact on this Offensive Offense

Can I prove it? I mean if you want me to take a picture of every play of every game and post it, I think I could.
But I feel like anybody who watches the games can see it with their own eyes so I don't have to waste my time for people who don't watch.
If "anyone" who watches the game can see with their own eyes that the defenses are rushing only 3-4 guys, leaving 7-8 guys to cover 3-4-5 recievers, who are the "most people" that are failing to realize that?
The smiley image was to show I was kidding around,so please excuse me Jesus, and please help all those starving pygmies over there in Africa.........![]()

Most people fail to realize it because it's 10x easier to blame one player, than numerous players.
Just like how the HC is always blamed for a loss, regardless. QB's are more often than not blamed for a loss as well. It's common knowledge, really. Or at least I thought so.
Cool beans.Cooooll Cooooll beeaannsss,
Cool Beans.
Go Browns!!!
Guess who's back? back again?Brady's back,that's who!!!Man,that felt GOOD(Chargers game)!!!!
Forget the fumble.I've seen Favre get sacked from behind, and do the same thing, many times. He's getting his Mojo back!!!
Just in time for the Squealers!!!
Up,up and away!!!
Go Browns!!!
