You have to make Lerner feel it financially
Just showing up late is not going to hit Lerner in the wallet. He is just snickering at you all when you do this. He is still raking in the dough so he still wins and the fans lose. You have to hit him where it matters most. THE WALLET!
You need a major movement to grab their attention. Everyone needs to boycott all of the concession stands and gift shops during the games. Quit buying the Jerseys and other Browns Branded merchandise in the local stores. Email the browns advertisers and let them know you are boycotting their product because they advertise with the Browns. When the trickle down effect kicks in, things will change.
These are not real Browns fans.Real Browns fans know the Al Lerner is doing his best to put an NFL Champion on the field.You can only go by what appears best,and try your hardest.
Don't blame Mr. Lerner for Mr. Modells inability to win a SB.Al Lerner took over a new team,and in 2002 they made the playoffs.Since then they have tried unsuccessfully through Butch,Romeo,and so far,Eric.
Eric has been the Head Coach for seven games.He has a rookie OC and DC.The team was a mess when he got here,but from any intelligent point of view,it appeared the Browns would be improved,along the lines of 7-9.Well,some players didn't turn out as expected,and the OC has been having a bad start,making the offense even worse.So they'll be 4-12 again.But how much better could (place your fave all-time coach here)have been,given this team?8-8?
I'm not saying Mangini is the answer,(or that his regime is even as good as the last)but like BQ,he's not been given a chance yet.He can only try his best,with the options he's given,at the time they're given.
We don't need to be listening to the hyperactive Cleveland media,or the nut cases that are in need of a quick fix.
The Browns need to rebuild,and it's gonna take some time.Whoever owns the Cleveland Browns,I am certain,will do his/her(c,mon,Oprah)best at attaining a Championship.
It's been a rough decade,the sun has got to shine through sometime.Unless we quit on our owner.
Does anyone really think that this current state of the Browns doesn't make Mr. Lerner feel terrible?
He's doing everything he can.He's fired two coaches,and has now hired Bernie to go in there and figure out why this team is still floundering.
Bottom line;I don't blame Mr. Lerner.He's doing what he thinks best.Money is not an object.
If you want to find fault,find it in the coaches poor draft choices,on most occasions,and poor ability to get the most from their players.And being outcoached during gametime.And the players themselves,for not getting the job done.

Not buying food or merchandise dosent do any good. The reason not sitting in the seats for the kickoff is perfect is because it shows that we will always support our Brownies by still going to the games and wearing the clothes but things need to change.
