Winslow speaking on the browns QB situation

“I would say Brady Quinn. I love Derek Anderson. Great quarterback. It just didn’t work out. Brady Quinn is coming in, he has tremendous upside. Very calm, very mature and, I mean, give the guy a chance. What’s the big deal? I really don’t get it. This guy is coming in, he has worked his tail off. I bet you he is there working out right now. Just give him a chance. He is a leader, he is coming into his own. I really don’t get what’s the hard decision up there. My choice would be Brady Quinn.”

The man has a point.

If I were Winslow, I would say something like "I like Brady more because he actually knows how to get me the ball because he likes TE's. He doesn't just toss the ball up down field and hope the other team doesn't catch it".

Quinn is becoming a leader for this offense. He's got all the tools, and the intangibles. If ManKok gives him a chance, I'm confident he won't disappoint simply because he is always working harder to get better.

Winslow has nothing to lose.  He doesn't play for the Browns anymore and when has he lied or held back on saying something.  If he says Quinn is a leader that works his tail off I believe him.  Give him a chance,  what do we have to lose?  It's not like it's a great QB class and we might let a future star pass us in the draft.  If all fails we have another top 5 pick and we the get a shot at Bradford or McCoy.

If all goes well, and Brady looks like our Franchise, next year I want to go after a different McCoy.

Gerald "Richard Seymour" McCoy, out of Oklahoma.

If all goes well, and Brady looks like our franchise, do you think we'll really be in a position to get G. McCoy?

Probably not. He's got top 5 pick all over him.

But if we solidify some spots on the team, and become a contender, I wouldn't be surprised if Mangini didn't hesitate to trade up to get a guy that's perfect for his defense.

That's assuming we'll need a DE next season.

Eric Berry's our guy next season.  The best safety to come out (if he does) sence the late Sean Taylor.
Check out Terrence Cody (DT/Oklahoma)  6'5 365-380lbs.
McCoy is the other dude i'm looking at next season.

There are also the safeties coming out next year, I'm sure Mangini would like to find his new Kerry Rhodes

Eric Berry is inarguably the best player in college football. He was last year, and with Monte Kiffin running the UT defense, there's no reason why he won't continue to be.

Berry is a top 5 pick, easily.

So, I say that we could draft Sanchez, ensure that we get a top 5 pick, and then draft one of the two.

:D

Now you guys got me looking all the way to next year's draft.

2010 looks to be a very good year for 3-4 DL
